ITIS Leak Testing

We are proud to be a service provider for Korrel Lasservice concerning the leak test of a hydrogen and CNG system at TNO Automotive, Helmond (NL).

During this test all welds, flanges, couplings and bulkhead seals were tested for leakage with helium as a tracer gas at 450 bar.

Because health, safety and environmental aspects are becoming ever more important in every industry, the demand for industrial leak testing is constantly growing. Choosing the best leak-testing method is an economic decision that balances the cost of meeting leak-test specifications with the production conditions and requirements. Although leak testing may look simple, the process involves both science and skill. The test operator must make sure that the equipment functions properly (e.g. calibration of the test equipment, contamination of tracer gas in the test environment, etc.) and the process strongly depends on the operator’s experience.
